Debaron & Sarah | Intimate Forest Elopement | Blue Ridge Mountains

        Intimate Forest Elopement

I love Debaron and Sarah’s intimate forest elopement in Blue Ridge, Georgia. I eloped myself so they are special to me. I first met Debaron at Catalyst Conference in Atlanta. I was working as the photographer and he was the DJ. We connected each time for 3 years that we worked the conference, and I was honored when he asked me to shoot his special day. Here’s a link to more elopement photos I’ve done. What I love about weddings is the connection between two people and when couple elope there’s less going on to potentially distract from the meaning of the day. Feel free to reach out if you’re thinking about eloping yourself!

        Into the Woods

They got married on a private residence in the Blue Ridge mountains. We had access to so much incredible scenery and I could’ve shot there for hours. We just picked a direction and walked. Their intimate forest elopement was just that. It was secluded and gorgeous. Their chemistry was incredible, and the focus was solely on them. I find that to be the case in elopements because there’s much less to worry about. Everything is just about you two and it’s less of a production and less things can go wrong.

Finally, once all the portraits were done we headed to the reception. Dusk settled in and the dancing began. Then there was cake cutting and a first dance. They were surround by their closest friends and family in the middle of nowhere and it was perfect. After some singing and dancing they headed to the front of the house for a quick sparkler exit. It was such a special day and I loved that I was there for it. I wish people would elope more. They really are so much fun.
