This couple had their modern Georgia wedding in the middle of the summer at the Roswell Historic Cottage. The ceremony and reception were at the same location. That makes everything easier especially since I have shot at this particular venue a lot. Furthermore, this couple were close friends of mine. So, overall this wedding was bound to a great one from the start.
This first picture sums up all you needs to know.
It is always nice to have worked with your couples previous to the wedding. I shot their engagement photos last winter, and even though I personally know them it is different when you throw a camera in the mix. Due to this being their second shoot with me, they were borderline pros. While being in love and all that jazz to begin with helps, they knew what I wanted and how I worked. I brought them far away from the venue to give them space to breathe away from the reception craziness. Consequently, they were at ease and ready to work some magic.
I love dancing with everyone and having fun with them, yet I could not accurately capture how much fun this reception was. Furthermore, the couple is so high energy that it is impossible to keep up with them. They had such a good mix of guests that it kept the dance floor going strong for hours. Because everyone was having so much fun I was actually pretty bummed when it was time to leave. The limo was not there on time so to kill time they had ran through their exit twice. It was definitely a first to witness, and it was hilarious. In conclusion, I love this couple and getting to work with them reminds me why I have the greatest job ever.
